Description The Outstanding Higher Education Professional Using Technology Award is presented annually to a faculty member or administrator in a Maryland institution of higher education who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the implementation and advancement of educational technology. This award supports MSET’s mission to advance excellence in learning and teaching through innovative and effective uses of technology. Aims and Objectives
Nominations Nominations may be submitted by colleagues, department chairs, deans, or other education professionals. Eligible nominees include full-time or part-time faculty, deans, department chairs, or presidents in the state of Maryland. The nominee may hold a role that combines teaching and administrative responsibilities but must demonstrate a strong impact on teaching and learning through technology. All nomination materials are confidential and will not be returned. Materials should clearly demonstrate the nominee’s qualifications and alignment with the award’s goals. Award Gift The awardee will be recognized at the MSET Spring Conference and will receive a personalized plaque, a one-year complimentary MSET membership, and recognition through MSET’s communications channels. The awardee will be formally recognized at a surprise celebration at their respective school or office place in the spring or early summer and will receive a personalized banner, complimentary MSET membership for one year, and featured recognition on the MSET website and publications. Application Deadline Nominations and supporting materials must be submitted by February 14. |
